Whether you’re not quite ready to hire a designer just yet, or you just need some action steps you can take during this season of your business to build a more “on brand” business, you’re in the right place.
Back in August of 2019 I decided to switch from MailerLite to Flodesk to see what all the hype was about. I was fairly familiar with email marketing, and the beautifully, sleek interface of Flodesk definitely drew me in.
My sweet client, Taylor, reached out to me the other day wanting to know how difficult it would be for her to create more photoshop templates like the ones I provided her during her rebrand. I’m a huge fan of using smart objects in Photoshop to create templates that can be used over and over to quickly (and easily) create collages for Instagram stories or other social media platforms.
As a Squarespace web designer working with other creative entrepreneurs, I’ve come to realize the importance of brand photography. A beautiful website with iPhone photos and selfies will not look as great and professional as a beautiful website with professional brand photos. I have also found that having a great library of photos helps me post more consistently on social media!
I had every single intention of writing a 2019 business review blog post – you know the ones that come out at the end of December reflecting back on the year that has passed. But that didn’t happen. Instead I traveled to Norway to visit my precious family, and I’d say it was the best decision I could have made.
And so it continues, the ongoing debate of which website platform is best for your creative business website. As a Showit and Squarespace web designer, I have some experience when it comes to choosing between these two platforms, so I’m happy to share a little insight on some of the reasons why I would choose one over the other. For instance, it is no longer enough to just say “Sign up for my list” as consumers and potential clients have gotten more protective over their inboxes.
In today’s post, I’ll share how you can easily get started with email marketing workflows using Flodesk!
There’s no doubt that the Squarespace vs Showit debate is living on as strong as ever. As a designer working on both platforms for my clients, I have gained some valuable insight when it comes to choosing Showit vs Squarespace.

Have you ever found yourself making decisions based on the shiny new syndrome mixed with a little (or a lot) of FOMO?
Yep. I’ve been there too.
If you’ve been around the Hygge Design Co blog for a hot minute, you’ve heard me rave about MailerLite as my go-to email marketing software. I still stand behind MailerLite, and I think it’s a great, free platform for those just starting out with email marketing. But, I’ve recently been testing out Flodesk, and I must say, I’m very impressed.
In today’s post I’ll share how you can authenticate your domain, and set up your forms so your visitors can sign up for your Flodesk email list!
