Creating a custom brand for British Wedding Photographer Nicola Auckland Photography was an absolute dream.
From our first Zoom conversation, I could tell this was going to be a special project. Nicola was ready to step outside her comfort zone, take her visual brand from a watermark to a fully developed strategic brand, and also truly stop hiding her superpowers.
During the project’s kickoff call, Nicola discovered some surprising elements as she saw her moodboard options next to each other. You see, sometimes what we think our brand needs to look like, isn’t exactly what we end up with when we’re looking at the options and what makes sense in front of us.
The call ended with Nicola telling me the magic words “I trust you” — y’all, I can’t even explain how incredible that feels to hear as a brand designer, but also how freeing. That is when I truly feel the most inspired to just create.
The result? An elegant, yet calm, emotive, and trustworthy brand. The perfect fit for a British wedding photographer if I do say so myself.
