Creating a custom Showit website and new brand identity for Raleigh wedding photographer Tierney Riggs Photography was an absolute dream come true!
Tierney focuses on serving couples in the Raleigh area who love timeless, southern details, and a stress-free wedding experience. With over seven years in the industry and lots of DIYing, she felt that it was finally time to invest in a custom Showit website and brand to match the experience her brand actually provides for her clients.
Tierney’s former website was a Squarespace template that she had DIYed to fit her current situation, but we can’t be more excited about her switching from Squarespace to Showit with this gorgeous new look.
One of my personal favorite parts of this new brand identity is the way we pulled inspiration from classic southern culture, like monograms, blue tones, and whitespace, and paired it with more whimsical elements like florals to create a site that feels preppy and elegant, yet welcoming and soothing. Like a breath of fresh air in a chaotic wedding planning experience.
Here’s what Tierney had to say about the process:
What’s your favorite part of your new brand?
It’s hard to pick just one part! I love the calming blue color palette as well as the feminine details!
What’s your favorite part of your new website?
Umm… all of it? In all honesty, I love the interactive features and fun details. With moving over from Squarespace, I am amazed at all of the neat customized features and interactions that Showit offers! I really feel like those features paired with your design are really going to allow my work to shine more than it ever has! I also love the font combinations! I spent hours working on my website copy, and because of how you paired my fonts I feel like it will actually get read!
What kind of results do you expect to see from this project?
I’m really excited to see how this project will lead me into the next stage of my business. I truly believe I will be able to raise prices and book out the rest of my 2021 calendar. Ultimately, I think it will enable me to work smarter not harder – and as a busy wife and mom that is so important to me.
Did we successfully accomplish your design goals? What was your favorite part about working together?
Absolutely! It was more than I could have hoped for! I love Ida’s promptness and responsiveness! She’s very efficient!
